PERMANENT EYELINER
Your eyes are the windows to the soul, so having perfect eyeliner to accentuate and highlight your eyes is vital to bringing out your inner essence. Most of us aren’t so blessed as to have eyes that stand out without wearing eyeliner. However, if your eyeliner is less than perfect, it will create the appearance of premature aging.
Pencil liners are so inconvenient — smearing and smudging constantly — and impossible to use in any situation that involves water, sweating, crying, rain or humidity. If only there was a better solution for perfect lash lines that looks natural and won’t smear, smudge or wash off? With Permanent Eyeliner Makeup, art and technology have converged to create a revolutionary new procedure that makes this dream a reality today.

EYELINER POST TREATMENT PROTOCOL: *AFTER CARE KIT IS INCLUDE WITH EACH PROCEDURE
*Complementary Touch Up procedures are only for B&B clients, are for missing pigment only, and must be scheduled within 60 days of initial procedure.
*Eyelash extensions must be removed prior to eyeliner pmu treatment.
*Eyelash grow serums such as Latisse must be discontinued for 1 month prior to PMU treatment.
Immediately upon treatment, you tattoo will be darker and thicker than it will appear after it heals within 8 weeks (more or less). You can expect your eyeliner to fade anywhere from 10%-50% within the first 30 days following the initial procedure (my experience has been 30% on average). If you notice variations in consistency during the 8-week healing phase, be patient. It takes time for the pigment to settle into the dermis as the skin is healing. Avoid smoking, taking aspirin and consuming alcohol for at least 48 hours post treatment (basically, avoid anything that thins the blood, unless you're on a doctor regulated medication of course). Remember, the process of implanting pigment is invasive, therefore, tiny injuries were created during the procedure which may account for tenderness the first few days.
Whilst the area is healing, it will begin to itch (after a few days) and will crust and begin to flake-off; this is normal. PLEASE RESIST the urge to “pick” at the skin; this WILL ABSOLUTELY AFFECT THE END RESULT and you tattoo will NOT heal properly. The skin must naturally slough off and shed on its own. Cool dry compresses can be placed on the treated area on day 1-2 to reduce inflammation. It is important to note that when the client leaves my office, the skin is open, therefore avoid touching the area, especially when out in public, to prevent infection and encourage healthy healing. I provide my clients with three pages of detailed post-care instructions, and I am always available to answer questions.
*FOR EYELINER ONLY: OTC “eye wash” should be dripped onto the eyelids before you “blink blink blink” the liquid into the eyes (do this several times a day for 7 days, then gently pat dry with a clean tissue or gauze). This post-eyeliner eye wash method is the best way to “moisturize” the skin on the eye lid area, do not apply any other product onto the eyelids. I recommend sleeping on your back for the first 3 days, if possible, and do not sleep on your finest linens, as there will be pigment residue in your skin. This pigment is permanent and will stain your pillowcase, so using an old pillowcase or slipping an old tee shirt over your existing pillowcase is recommended.
EYELINER POST-CARE, DAY 1-2: After your procedure was complete, I applied an ointment barrier to the eyeliner to seal-in the area. This invisible seal must be left on the eyeliner for a full day post procedure, do NOT pick it off. The only instruction you have for these first 2 days is to KEEP THE AREA DRY. In other words, DO NOT GET YOUR EYELINER WET. Getting the eyeliner wet during the first 2 weeks will absolutely affect the end result. I recommend washing your face with a washcloth, taking a tub-bath and visiting your salon to get your hair washed.
EYELINER POST-CARE, DAY 2-14: Keep a light, thin layer of Grapeseed Oil or Aquaphor on the area starting on Day 2, until Day 14. Day 2-14: Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor with a clean cotton swab, gently gliding the swab in the opposite direction of the hairs, then gently swipe back in the other direction, in an effort to moisten the skin. You need to keep the underlying skin moist, but not drenched, therefore a “light layer" is all that is needed, 1-2 times per day (morning and night) for the first week, then once per day is fine until day 14. Again, DO NOT GET YOUR EYELINER WET. Getting the eyeliner wet during the first 2 weeks will absolutely affect the end result. I recommend washing your face with a washcloth, taking a tub-bath and visiting your salon to get your hair washed. After 2 weeks, apply the sunscreen balm (from your post-care kit) to the eyeliner every day to protect the underlying skin; the sun is the NUMBER 1 reason why pigment fades over time.
After 2-3 months post procedure, the pigment that you see in the mirror is the fully healed end result, in terms of color and depth of placement. As mentioned earlier, the initial application will lighten as the upper layers of the epidermis exfoliate and the skin cells turn over. After 6-8 weeks, you will have a complementary touch-up, to darken your look, or if you would like more color added to certain areas, then your appointment needs to be made within 60 days of the original session to count as an initial session (priced accordingly); after the 60 day mark, the appointment will be treated as a “EXTRA TOUCH UP" session” and my regular tattoo rates will apply.
