ABOUT PERMANENT MAKEUP AND EQUIPMENTS
I am a license Tattoo Artist, a licensed Aesthetician and a licensed Phlebotomist. As a multi-licensed professional, with countless additional hours of training under my belt, I understand the biology of the skin, as well as the process and complex technique of implanting pigment into the dermis. I pride myself by using the finest quality, American-made professional pigments on the market (Li pigments, World Famous and Permablend, just to mention some) My machine, the Nouveau Contour Intelligent, is one of the most elite digital, cosmetic tattoo machines in the world, which precisely and safely implants pigment into the Reticular Dermis, this machine uses disposable (safety) needles that are incase in a cartridge. The HARMONY is the first safe, 100% disposable Microblade (one time use only), by Tina Davis. (For more Information go to (Tinadavis.com).
Note that Permanent Make-up, whether it is implanted using a machine or a hand-tool (Micro-Blade), is indeed a Tattoo implanted in the dermal layers of the skin. I exercise universal precautions with regard to blood borne pathogens, therefore, I always execute very high sanitation and sterilization standards in my practice. My facility is fully licensed under the State of Florida Department of Health.
Permanent makeup (Tattoo) is the art and science of implanting color into your skin. This treatment replicates conventional makeup on the brows, lash line, and lips. This is done by implanting cosmetic pigments into the dermis layer of the skin, also known as Cosmetic tattooing, Micro-Pigmentation, 3D Micro-blading Brows and Brow Embroidery.
HOW LONG DOES THE RESULT LAST?
Permanent make up never washes off or smears, although it can soften through the years. The length of time will vary based on colors chosen, skin type, and compliance with after care instructions. Color refreshers will range from one to two years and vary on individual basis.
DOES IT HURT?
For you comfort, a topical anesthetic is used before and during the procedure to assure you of the most comfortable experience possible. On a scale of 1 to 10 with “1” being no discomfort, clients often experience between a 2 and 3, however some experience more discomfort due to varying tolerance levels.
IS IT SAFE, CAN I STILL GET AN MRI?
Yes. Although iron oxide colors are ferromagnetic and may respond to a strong magnetic field by heating up, the small amounts of them in permanent makeup do not normally represent a problem. If you ever were to be uncomfortable during an MRI, it is a simple matter to remove you from the field and apply a cold compress. There are non-iron oxide pigments. But I prefer to use mostly iron oxide colors because of their inert nature and history of safety. In my 18 years of practice, no one has ever come back to report an MRI problem after their PMU.
All our pigments are cosmetic grade, meaning that they are sterilized and purified for cosmetic use. The ingredients used have been approved by the FDA for cosmetic use. In addition, all our tools are single-use and discarded after the treatment. Our exclusive specialist is highly trained and experienced State licensee.
WHAT IF I CHANGE MY HAIR COLOR?
Since all color choices are selected to harmonized with your skin tone and natural coloring, changing your hair color will not affect the look of properly applied permanent makeup.
WHAT IS 3D MICRO-BLADING BROW TREATMENT?
I will create your brow by hand, with hair strokes like. A topical anesthetic gel is applied that stays on for about 20 minutes, and then a Harmony Microblade tool is used to make small, hair-shaped incisions in the skin underneath the brow. The Micro-Blading Brow lasts up to one to two years, then fades naturally away without changing the color. The shallow cuts are filled with highest-grade pharmaceuticals pigments. The treatment takes about two hours, with enough time to assess each step of the way.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING BROW CONSULTATION?
Brow hair and color is analyzed. I will draw hair stokes with pencil to create a symmetrical natural-looking brow that is custom-made for your bone structure, giving you the chance to see how dramatically new brows change your face. Once you are satisfied with the shape and thickness, I will consult with you on color to match and ensure we get a shade that is closest to your natural hair color. I will also discuss the procedure, the aftercare, how long it takes the skin to heal, and how to ensure the best results. Consultations are always complimentary with no obligation to proceed with the treatment.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECOVER?
There is no downtime, however you'll look like you've had a good cry for several hours following eyeliner. It is advised to apply cold packs (notice) for 10 minutes at a time during the first few hours. Also, it is important to wear sunglasses as your eyes may be temporarily sensitive to light. Eyebrow procedures have the least swelling. Lip color often involves temporarily swelling. You must let your Professional know if you have a history of fever blisters so medication can be prescribed. Permanent makeup will soften in color by up to 10%-50% (my experience has been 30% on average). During this period, after-care procedures should be carefully followed.
WHAT SHOUD I DO FOR AFTERCARE?
For 14 days, while the surface skin is healing, you must avoid any rubbing, scrubbing, tanning, chemical irritation or exfoliation of your skin. Wash around the area and keep soaps off it. For few days your skin will be very sensitive. No swimming during that time. Avoid dirty work environments. Don't work out for a day or two. Stay out of tanning beds and don't get sunburned. If you work outside, golf, or go to the beach, wear a hat and glasses. Don't pick at exfoliating skin towards the last day, because you'll pull up the important color attached to it which otherwise would heal into the skin.
WHAT IS THE ENHANCE SESSION? (Is the initial touch up, "one time only")
The initial touch up session is done within 35 -60 days of the initial treatment in order to ensure perfect results. We use this session to set the shape, color, and make any small adjustments if needed.
DO YOU PATCH TEST FOR ALLERGY FIRST?
Normally not. Such testing is not considered sufficiently predictive by medical authorities. Also, I'm not a doctor, so I can't legally interpret any such test. It is always possible that you could develop an allergy in the future to any foreign substance in your body once sensitized. But real pigment allergies to permanent cosmetic colors are extremely rare. I have never seen or had a pigment allergy reaction to any of the colors I use. However, previous tattooing with certain other pigments may make you more susceptible to a possible pigment reaction. If you've been previously tattooed with Premier Pigments True Colors, which were withdrawn from the market, you are at risk of reaction from subsequent procedures. Also, if you have a genuine history of contact sensitivity to other dyes and colorants, there is a greater risk of sensitivity. If you request it, I can tattoo a small test patch and allow you to make your own determination of the results.
